Thanks to everyone for turning out for this game and for 
putting up with the fact the club forgot to mark the pitch out
and some of the floodlights not working - playing on a badly 
marked football pitch in the dark trying to see flags to mark 
the pitch was quite an experience for all.

This was a good game with the forwards doing well in set 
piece possession and the backs looking very dangerous every 
time they had the ball, Paul, Nick and Dave looking good in 
midfield and Charles, Daragh and Martin dangerous on the break.

We kept the game plan very simple which seemed to work 
with quick possession meaning the backs could dominate - 
however the first try through Nigel came through some 
forward play leading to break which saw Nigel take 
possession some 5 yards out and then remembering where 
he had to ground the ball (at least I think it was Nigel who 
scored - if I am wrong please correct me).

The second try came from a line out steal with quick ball to 
Paul at fly half and then a clever scissors move with Nick 
wrong footing their defence leaving Nic to score a well taken 
try.

Nomura upped their level of aggression after that and started 
to take the game to us but some excellent defence kept the 
clean sheet in what was a surprisingly entertaining second half 
given there was no score.
